A hilly village in Međimurje (Part 1)

Let me tell you about the place where I live. I will not reveal its name for now. However, in the following articles I will share with you different aspects of the life here. Hopefully the scenes described and the bits of advice offered to those of you who will find yourselves here, will paint you a nice picture of it.
I live in a medium-sized village in the hilly part of the County of Međimurje which is the northernmost county of Croatia.
It may sound silly but the thing I like most about my village is the clean air. Those of you who live in a big city but have experienced living in a smaller, less industrialized area will know what I mean. I spent four years living in the capital of Croatia and I just could not get used to the polluted air, especially on hot summer days during the rush hour. Clean air is becoming more and more of a perk.
Imagine if you will a small, almost pollution-free corner of the world and place all the commodities that the modern world has to offer nearby, and you will get an idea of what it is like living here.
